The E.R.A. 427 Cobra gives you the best of both worlds: a visually faithful reproduction where you can see and improved where you can't. The chassis is strengthened over the original design and stiffened to reduce body shake, an important factor in an open car. Their unique body structure is engineered to create a long live body that never gets stress cracks or surface distortion. The special E.R.A.-designed suspension works with the stiffer chassis to produce a combination of excellent handling and smooth ride not available in any other reproduction. It doesn't feel like a kit. It feels like a real car! Unlike most other kits that use a single fiberglass interior tub, the E.R.A. 427 has aluminum floors, interior side panels and rear bulkhead, just like the original car.This particular car is #194 and rides on a 90" wheelbase and chassis. Finished in a unique Midnight Gray Metallic with silver ghost stripes, the car looks fantastic with no damage to the body. This is a competition version that comes with the rectangular tail-lights, jack pads and special instrument layout. With the correct riveted on hood scoop and roll bar these replicas are very correct and resemble the originals almost identically. The only imperfection that we have found to the body is a small hairline crack to the front nose. Inside, the interior and dash are both very correct. The wood steering wheel looks great as well as the dash, seats and carpet. Both seats look great with no major wear to either. All lights, blinkers and gauges work with no problems as well as the wipers. The car itself has only 12,639 miles on it. We have a 4" thick folder of documentation and receipts that is included with the purchase of this awesome vehicle. Under the hood, the car is powered by a 1969 428 Cobra Jet with Holley 4bbl carb. With over 400 horsepower, the car is an absolute rocket. New parts that were installed in the engine include Speed Pro Forged flat top pistons, Clevite main and rod bearings, Erson TQ-50-H hydraulic camshaft and lifters, Ferrea stainless steel valves, ARP main bolts, head bolts and rod bolts and a Melling high volume oil pump. Connected to the heavy duty Ford top loader 4 speed through a McLeod clutch, the car is a blast to drive. The motor that is in the car is fresh. Originally the previous owner had a CSX 427 in the car but replaced it with the current Cobra Jet that is in the car now. The current motor only has around 25 miles on it as well as dyno time. The wheels are imitation Halibrand knock off's that look great and are wrapped with Good Year Eagle, soft compound tires. Gauges inside include oil pressure and temperature, water temperature, amps, fuel, tachometer and speedometer. All work with no problems. The current mileage shows 12,639 miles and the VIN number is ERA194. The car is being sold on a clean Nevada title showing that that previous owner had had the car since 2007.
