Description

The Chrysler TC automobile came about as the result of collaboration between Chrysler and Maserati, an arrangement rooted in the friendship of the charismatic men in charge of the two companies, Lee Iacocca and his friend Alejandro de Tomaso. The link was perhaps ahead of its time, with the low-volume Maserati providing its image and tuning expertise, and the high-volume Chrysler providing it's engineering and sales capabilities. The basic idea was to add some glamour to Chrysler (and some profit to Maserati); As it finally worked out, by late 1988 an assembly line of sorts had been set up in Milan, where standard Chrysler engines (a 2.2 liter turbo for 1989, a Mitsubishi V-6 in 1990 and 1991) with automatic transmissions were sent to be mated to the largely handcrafted bodies, the whole cars then being shipped back to the U.S. for sale only by selected Chrysler-Plymouth dealerships. This particular TC is a 53,000 original mile example that is one of 174 Yellow with black leather interior and black top's that were produced in 1990. The car is in outstanding conditionand has been babied its entire life. Originally sold in Moline Illinois, the car stayed there until 1997 when it had 30,000 miles. It then went to sunny Scottsdale Arizona where it stayed until it went to Long Beach California until 2005. The last owner in Indiana purchased the car in October of 2005 where it has been ever since. The paint on the car is in very good, original condition with no major flaws to be found. There are some minor nicks, but nothing is major. The black soft top looks new and goes up and down with no problems. All functions work in the rear for the tonneau cover and top releases. The steel trim and bright work around the car is in good condition with no major dings or nicks.Inside, the black leather looks great with only one small hole showing to the driver's seat. The passenger and rear seat looks nearly perfect with no major wear to be found. Carpet and headliner are both in good condition with no major wear to be found. The dash is solid with no buckling or cracking as well as all the wood trim which is nearly perfect. Everything on the car appears to be functioning properly including all power seat options, lights, radio, gauges and compass. The A/C blows cold and functions with no problems. Under the hood, the 3.0 liter V6 starts right up and runs down the road with no problems. The car has plenty of power and drives great. The brakes are good as well as the steering which does not pull to either side. We have a folder of receipts for the car that include new brakes, tires and rotors being turned in 2003 as well as miscellaneous oil changes and preventive maintenance. The car comes with a clean Carfax that shows the miles are actual and that the car has never been in any accidents. We also have the hard top carrier which is included as well as the original manuals. The current mileage shows 53,716 and is being sold on an actual mileage Indiana title. The VIN number is ZC2FS1206LB205607.
