Description

In 1983 Chrysler buyers and critics, were eagerly awaiting the arrival of an all new body style for the Lebaron; a convertible. The convertibles arrived at mid-year 1983, offering the first domestically produced convertibles since 1976, when Cadillac had phased out the Eldorado rag top. Each LeBaron was hand built by Cars & Concepts of Brighton, Michigan, off of regular 2 door coupe bodies. The convertible's power top had a plastic rear window and a wide quarter panel. There was also a padded top boot that snaps into place when the top is down. Please note that this car does have engine noise and is said to have a damaged piston. The motor will have to be rebuilt. The paint on the car appears to be the original and in very good overall condition. There are no major scrapes, dings or dents on the car. The trim all looks good around the car as well as the bumpers on the front and back. The top on the car is power and works with no problems and goes down with a flick of the switch in the center console. The soft top is in great condition with no damage that we have found. The plastic rear window looks good with no staining or cracking. Inside, the car does not disappoint. The burgundy leather seats are in great condition and show no major wear anywhere. There is a small crack to the plastic on the side of the driver's seat as you can see in the photos. The original radio sounds great and works with no problems. All the wood trim inside looks very good with no major wear to be found. The original carpet looks good with only minor wear, the same goes for the steering wheel which only shows some minor wear to the top. The four cylinder under the hood does start and run and will drive down the road. The car does not smoke but is said to have a damaged piston and is being sold with engine noise. The transmission shifts fine with no issues and the car goes down the road with no problems. Brakes straight and steers straight. In the trunk there is a brand new spare as well as the original jack. The trunk is carpeted and looks very good. The tires all around are newer and have good tread life left on them. The wire wheel hubcaps show no curb rash or fading. The current mileage shows 110,572 and the VIN number is 1C3BC55C2DG178638. We are selling this car for a client of ours who is realistic on his price and wants the car to sell.
