Description

The Mercedes-Benz 560SL was launched in 1985 for the American market, with its overhead-camshaft V8 engine that produced an impressive 277 horsepower. Zero-to-sixty was achieved in just eight seconds and top speed was in the neighborhood of 136 mph. The cars had a limited slip differential, revised steering geometry, leather upholstery, anti-lock braking, anti-theft alarm system, leather trimmed steering wheel and shift lever, stereo radio-cassette, and an improved climate control system which does work in the car and blows cold. For 1986, the car carried a sticker price of just under fifty-thousand, at $48,200. It was a sporty, luxurious car with numerous standard equipment and produced by a marquee that was known for its racing pedigree and commitment to style, performance, and refinement. This particular car shows well for its age and comes with a new soft top and hard top. The paint on the car is in very good condition and has been resprayed sometime in the past. The hardtop looks great and only shows one small dent to the top which is barely noticeable. The soft top appears to be newer and is in great condition. The plastic rear window shows no staining. Both front and rear bumpers are in great condition with no damage to be found and both retain a great shine. Inside, the car does not disappoint. The seats are soft and have been recently been recovered. The door panels also appear new and only show one minor imperfection to the drivers side door. All the gauges are in good working order as well as the clock. The original radio has been replaced with a newer AM/FM/CD player with CD changer in the trunk. The stereo sounds great and works with no problems. All the wood trim inside looks very good with only some very minor cracking to the center console. The rest of the trim looks nearly perfect as well as the dash which shows no cracking or buckling. The door sills do show some cracking and wear to both sides. The trunk is carpeted and looks very good and includes a CD changer. The tires all around are newer and are P205/65R15 radials. All 4 wheels show no curb rash or fading and are in good overall condition. The underside of the car is very solid. Floors are good as well as behind the front and rear tires. The VIN number is WDBBA48D0GA050906 and the car is being sold on a clean Missouri title.
