1964 was a record sales year for the three-hundred letter series. Total production reached 3,022 Coupe's and 625 Convertibles. This was over nine times the production of the previous year. The carpet does show some fading but the original seats look great. Headliner, door and kick panels are all equally as nice with no major wear to any of them. The rear parcel tray does have some fading to it. The headliner is new as are the bows. All gauges are in good working order as well as the lights, blinkers, horn and wipers. This is an A/C car and the air does blow, just not cold. Under the hood is the original 413 Cu In V8 producing 360 horsepower. With a turn of the key the car starts right up with no hesitation. Under the hood, the car looks as it did 19,000 miles ago. The engine and engine bay are both very clean and unmolested from new. The A/C has been disconnected and taped off, but most of the lines are in the trunk. The automatic transmission shifts as it should and performs with no problems. Underneath, the car is very solid with no rot that we have seen. The floors are good as well as the frame rails. The wheels and hubcaps are wrapped with newer radial tires that are in good condition and have good tread life left on them. The current mileage shows 19,432 and is said to be original for the car.
