From 1946 to '48, it was a subseries of the Chevy Fleetmaster rather than a series of its own. From '49 to '51, the Fleetline was again a subseries but this time of both the Special and Deluxe. In its final year, it was offered only as a subseries of the Deluxe.The fleetline debuted in '41 as a four-door sedan. Fleetlines comprised almost 3/4 of Chevy's sales in '47. Another fantastic feature is the original Atlas underdash heater on the front passenger side. The horn is inoperable. The radio is original, and many of the knobs are also original. The exterior has benefitted from a recent professional paint job. The exterior is a handsome, two-tone blue motif. The upper part of the body is Fleet Blue, and the lower is a Wing Blue. The hubcaps are correct and have the '40s era Chevrolet insignia. The wheels and trim rings are also correct. The chrome brightwork shows well, and overall the car has been highly restored to factory specifications, if not better.The engine is a recently rebuilt straight six-cylinder, 3.5 L on a manual "three on the tree" transmission which is also recently rebuilt and shifts beautifully.
