This 1967 Chevy Impala shows only 102,000 original miles and still retains its original paint and engine. The car was originally purchased in North Carolina back in 1967 for a couples 50th wedding anniversary. It stayed in that family until June of 2005 when it was purchased from the original owners son by the current owner who brought it here to St. Louis. The paint on the car is original and shows its age. The trunk lid as you can see in the pictures, does show some peeling of the clear coat. The roof has some minor peeling as well. The rest of the paint is overall good and none of the car shows any rot of major bubbling. The front and rear bumpers are in good condition and do show some pitting to both. There is one trim piece missing on the car but it is in the trunk. The rest of the trim is in good condition with no major dings or damage. Inside, the car is in wonderful condition and shows no major imperfections. The carpet is in great condition as well as the seats which look like new. They have been reupholstered in the past and show no wear. Dash is solid and it appears everything inside of this car works including the AM radio. The car has recently passed a Missouri state inspection. Under the hood, the car retains its original 327 Cu In V8 with 4bbl carb and power glide transmission. The car starts with a turn of the key with no problems or smoking. Transmission shifts smooth and performs as it should. The car does have power steering and power brakes. Engine code on the front of the block reads HC and it does have the VIN stamped on it as well. The underside of the car is in great condition with no rot that we have found. This would make a great driver as is or you can throw a coat of paint on it and make it nicer as you remember when they were new.
