Description

Chrysler first used the Saratoga nameplate on its 1939 models, and continued to use the name off and on until 1960 when it retired the product name for the US markets. The last run of these were from 1957 - 1960 when Chrysler used the Saratoga nameplate as part of its "Forward Look" styling by Virgil Exner, the Saratoga was based on the base Windsor model, but received trim upgrades and better appointments inside the passenger compartment. The base V8 in the Saratoga was a cast-iron block V8 but Chrysler's highly praised Hemi was available as an option which this car has. Early 1957 models featured dual headlights, with quad-headlights as an option; by the model year's end all Saratoga's were outfitted with quad headlights. This particular car has benefited from an older restoration and only needs some minor touch up's to make it a stunning show piece. The paint on the car is in very good overall condition with only some minor scratches and dings. The paint retains a great shine and luster. There is some bubbling to the tops of both fenders just above the headlights. None of this is major or larger then a dime but it is there. The chrome bumpers are both solid with no damage to either. The front bumper does have some peeling to the chrome in the center as you can see in the photos. The rear bumper looks great with only minor pitting but retains a very good shine. Inside, the car has been completely reupholstered and looks great. The seats have been refinished in its original pattern and what we believe is the original colors. No major wear to the front or rear bench seat as well as to the carpet or dash. There is some cracking to the top part of the steering wheel but the bottom is solid and in good condition. All gauges are in good working order as well as the lights, blinkers, wipers and A/C blower. This is an A/C car but it currently does not blow cold. Other options include power seat and windows. The seat is currently inoperable but all the windows work with no problems. Under the hood, the car comes with the optional 392 Cu In Hemi V8 that is rated at 325 horsepower. The car starts up with no problems and runs down the road with plenty of power. The engine compartment is very clean and detailed as it was when it came from the factory. This is a power steering and power brake car with A/C. This would make a fantastic four door hardtop driver that you can pile all your friends and family in to bring back the memories of when you were younger and make new ones! The car is a joy to drive and is rarely seen in this condition. The current mileage shows 44,643 and the VIN number is L5726813. The car is being sold on a clean Missouri title.
