Description

Motoexotica is offering another fantastic Chevy two door Coupe. This 1940 Chevy Coupe is an all steel bodied car that comes with a 1966 Corvette 427 Cu In V8. The motor alone is worth $15,000 in the car! The casting number off the back of the motor is 3889942. This is a very well built car with working power leather seats, white face Dolphin gauges, power steering, power brakes and vintage A/C! The paint on the car is in very good condition with only some minor imperfection and spots of touchup that comes with age. There are no major scratches or dents anywhere to the body or fenders which are all steel. The front and rear chrome bumpers look great and show no major scratches or dings. All the steel trim around the car is equally as nice. There are also no cracks to any of the glass. The interior of the car is nicely finished with custom leather buckets that are in very good condition. The driver's seat is power and works with no problems but the passenger side is manual. The carpet is new and in very good condition as is the headliner and custom door panels. The dash has been painted black to match the rest of the car and has a complete layout of Dolphin gauges that all work with no problems. The Alpine AM/FM/CD player works fine and is hooked to a power antenna that goes up and down with no problems. All lights, blinkers, wipers and horn work with no problems. The heart of this Chevy comes straight out of a 1966 Corvette. The motor is a 427 Cu In V8 with a casting number of 3889942. It is fed through an Edelbrock 4bbl carb and intake. The car does have power steering and power brakes as well as vintage A/C. The A/C currently does not blow. Electronics are handled through an MSD box. The motor has a ton of horsepower and torque and will smoke the tires for as long as your foot is in the throttle. The car starts right up with no pumping of the gas or smoking. On the road the ride is not harsh and very smooth. 60 mph is easily attainable without the RPM's getting to high with the Turbo 400 transmission. The front end is from a Camaro and is a disc brake set up. The underside of the car is very solid with only some very minor spots showing. None of these spots are major. The current mileage on the car shows 22,579 and the VIN number is 3KBV414314. The car is being sold on a clean Missouri title showing that the previous owner has had the car for the past 3 years.
