Motoexotica is offering another fantastic Pickup. This 1942 Ford 1/2 Ton Pickup was purchased from a working farm in Clovis California. The body is all original and still in excellent, solid condition. Finished in a satin green with metallic accents, the truck is a great show piece and is sure to draw all the attention you could possibly hope for. The body on the truck is very solid with no rot, bubbles or major imperfections. The rear tailgate is the original for the truck and has only seen a coat of paint. It is still in the original condition, showing its original dings and dents and that this truck was used around the farm. The front bumper is from a 1937 Desoto and really sets the truck off with the addition of dual, functional lake pipes on each side. The steel bed is painted the same color as the rest of the truck and is in great condition. All the custom pin striping was done by eDog Designs of Riverside California. Inside, the vinyl interior is all new and looks great. The white vinyl seat shows no wear and has seatbelts. The classic gauges all look great and work with no problems. There are a lot of old school touches done to this truck to make it very unique. The dash has been painted green to match the exterior and looks perfect. The steering wheel is solid overall with only one small crack to it as you can see in the photos. Under the hood, there is a freshly rebuilt 1952, 255 Cu In Mercury flathead V8. The motor is finished with Offenhauser finned heads, mild cam, Fenton intake and a Holley 4bbl carb. This is connected to a 60's Galaxie 3 speed manual transmission with Borg-Warner overdrive. The truck drives great on the highway and will cruise comfortably at normal speeds. There have been all new brake lines installed as well as new shocks and leaf springs under the truck. Wiring has also been updated all around. All the tires have tons of tread life left on them and are wrapped around Mercury wheels and hubcaps. This is a great pick up with tons of style and character. On the road it performs like it should with no pulling to either side and it accelerates with plenty of power.
