You are looking at a very nice, original Mercedes sedan. This 1985 Mercedes Benz 500SEL is loaded with options and is still very luxurious even by today's standards. This particular car was delivered to California in 1987, where it has been until we purchased it. This is a very solid, original car with no major imperfections. These 500's were actually faster then the US 560's and are rarely seen. The paint on the car is original but not perfect and showing soma age. It is 23 years old. It has some scratches and dings to the body but is solid and shows no bubbling. The most notable are to the passenger side rear door where there is a dent and there are some scratches on the hood. The front and rear bumpers are good overall with no cracking, just some scratches. Most notable is to the front, passenger side as you can see in the photos. The sunroof works with no problems. Inside, the seats are all power in the front and back and in great condition. The carpet and headliner are equally as nice with no major imperfections. Dash is solid as well as all the wood trim. The rear seat is heated and does recline. The front seats are still firm and are also heated with power. The original radio has been replaced with a AM/FM tape player that does work and sounds great. This is an A/C car and it does still blow. All door panels are solid and show no major wear. Under the hood, the big five liter V8 runs great and has tons of power. The car starts right up with no smoking or hesitation and runs down the road with no problems. These big Mercedes' run very smooth and just glide down the road. The underside of the car is as solid as an original California car should be. No rot to be found and very clean. The mileage currently shows 148,771 and the VIN number is WDB1260371A190859. This is an original Euro car so it can be imported back overseas with little tax to be paid.
