Dragon Motor Cars wanted a combination of late 50's sport racer with modern super car performance. You are looking at what they came up with. The custom steel and aluminum space frame is extremely rigid and light weight. Coupled with a fiberglass body and an LT1 V8, they came up with a 2,200 pound car with incredible acceleration and power. The suspension comes from a C4 Corvette and has a live rear axle controlled by a 4 bar satchel link system. The car is titled as a 1966 Lister Dragon, this car is one of only eleven Series II's that were factory built and raced by Dragon. This actual car was on the cover of Kit Car Magazine's November 2005 issue with a 6 page article written about it. Since then, the car has been improved with a new interior, custom headers, side pipes, a rear spoiler and a black racing stripe. There are only 18 factory built Dragon's in existence and if you were to buy all the parts to build this car, it would cost over $40,000. That's not including labor!The fiberglass body is very straight and the paint on the car looks great. There are no doors but there is a removable roof that comes with the car as well as Plexiglas side windows. The roof will not secure at this time to the front as it will need some work for the fasteners. The car with the top on, is only 42.5" high. With the top off, the car is only 40" high. The current mileage on the car shows 21,866 and the VIN number is DMC66ROO1 indicating that this is the first Dragon Lister built. The mileage shows that this car has been driven and CAN be driven. This car was actually driven from new Hampshire to California for its show debut!
