Finished in the original color of champagne with gold vinyl interior, this is a great running, low mileage car that has tons of life left in it. We purchased this car as well as many others out of a retired GM executive's collection. All the vehicles that he purchased were hand picked, low mileage, original examples like this one. When is the last time you saw a 500XL 4 door hardtop? Brand new they only made 12,596 of these rare cars. This was the lowest production Galaxie made in '63!When we received the car the paint was dull and had little shine. We spent a day detailing and buffing the car and the paint came out to a brilliant shine. There are a few minor imperfections but nothing uncommon for a 45 year old car. There are a few minor scratches and dings, but nothing major. The trim, window surrounds and mirrors all look good with no pitting or major dents to the trim. Both front and rear bumpers look great with no dents or major scratches. The emblems on the front quarters do show some minor cracking inside to the plastic.
