This car was originally purchased new at Star Lincoln - Mercury in Southfield Michigan on 11/15/78 for $17,859.91 with 2 miles on the clock. It was sold to a Mr. Stephen Alexander as we have the original purchase receipt, bill of sale, books and collector series leather tool roll. He took the car to Florida where it sat in a covered garage under a car cover, like a cocoon for untold years and only emerged after Mr. Alexander's passing. The original paint on the car is in great condition as a 9,000 miles car should. The deep blue metallic paint looks great. There are some minor scratches and crazing to the paint but none are major. The vinyl rear roof looks perfect and shows no tears or staining. Both front and rear bumpers are in good condition with no pitting or scratches to be found.
