Foyt, Mario Andretti, Mark Donohue and Dan Gurney. When the checkered flag flew and the smoke cleared, the 4-4-2 carried a jubilant Al Unser around the brick on a victory lap while thousands of spectators cheered. A.B. Shuman wrote an account of driving the 1970 4-4-2 Olds pace car around the Brickyard for Motor Trend that year. He seems to have been suitably impressed:"Out of turn 2 and down the back straight, the speedometer needle buried somewhere past 120, our hair blowing all over the place, the 4-4-2 was stable and straight as could be. In the turns, the handling and feel were remarkable for a car of this size and weight (about 4,000 pounds). Acceleration was very strong up through 110 indicated and then seemed to peak a bit. The only real problem seemed to be from the wind, which kept blowing my moustache into my line of vision."MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present the rare opportunity to experience some historical Indy 500 atmosphere with this authentic 1970 Oldsmobile 442 Indy Pace car that you see pictured.
