Description

You are looking at a fabulous 1989 Porsche 928 S4 that has only had only two owners. The previous owner has had the car in Kansas since 1998. Before that the car was in Texas and Florida. We have a clean Carfax to support the original mileage and the owners. We have almost $15,000 worth of receipts for the car since 1998. Only around 2,919 928 S4's were produced in 1989 with around 50 of them being the higher performance GT's. The 928 was designed from scratch, introduced in spring of '77 and available to customers in August '77. Enhancements in performance and light variations of the design resulted in the 928S (1980), the 928S4 (1987, with the sporty "GT" in 1989) and the 928GTS for model '93. In the 90's Porsche decided to discontinue the production of their transaxle based products 968 and 928. The last 928 was produced at the Porsche factory in Stuttgart Zuffenhausen in October 1995. The lustrous black paint is in excellent condition with no major imperfections to be found. The car appears to of been professionally repainted at one time. The paint is in excellent condition with the front bumper showing only minor stone chips. No major scratches or dings to be found. This car does have a sunroof that works with no problems. The redesigned front and rear fascias as well as numerous other aerodynamic subtlies were employed to lower the body's coefficient of drag - the front spoiler was redesigned to allow air to pass smoothly under the car with the aid of a new aero belly pan; a set of grill flaps opened and closed depending upon speed and driveline temp. Radiator cooling was serviced by a dual, infinitely adjustable electric fan set. Porsche created controversy again with the S4's foldable matte-black rear wing spoiler. On later cars the spoiler was fixed in place.
