International Harvester Pick Up Trucks were among the best built and most stylish of their era, which explains why there was such a high demand after World War II. The truck was styled for functionality and esthetics. The KB1 was the perfect harmony between simplicity and purpose. This truck is the recipient of an older, modest restoration. The truck body is straight from just about any angle. The red paint appears to be sun faded from an older repaint but it shows well! There are a few imperfections, such as rock chips, on the flares and front clip. The chrome appears to be original and does show its age with some pitting on the grill and decay around the edges of the front bumper. It appears as if the distinguished "wings" on the lower grill have been removed in the past. Inside, the interior is fresh and clean. The bench seat is wrapped in white vinyl that is in good condition, showing only minor wear on the edge of the seat on the driver's side. The gray carpet looks great and compliments the red paint and white vinyl seat. The doors and dashboard are painted to match the exterior of the truck and look great! The dash houses a set of original gauges that are functioning. It should be noted that the windshield wipers are inoperable. Under the hood, you will find a clean and detailed engine bay. The truck is powered by a tidy Inline 6 Cylinder engine and the power is transferred to the pavement (or dirt road!) through a manual transmission. It sits upon a set of 16" black steel wheels with chrome International Harvester center caps. The wheels are wrapped in 6.50-16LT S.T.A Super Traxxon tires, which really look great!This truck would make an excellent work truck, farm truck or just a fine driver!
