Description

MotoeXotica is proud to offer this rare 1970 AMX with a 4 speed. This is one of only 4,116 AMX's produced in 1970. Before the model was discontinued. With a great deal of documentation including the original paperwork. This car was purchased new here in Missouri and kept as the owners pride and joy for 21 years. When the owner passed his widow sold the car to the second owner who has had it ever since. The car was originally purchased by Mark and Katherine Walkenhorst of St.Louis, MO. They purchased the car from Disalvo's AMC. Also here is St.Louis, MO. And we have the original dealer invoice that shows the car was purchased for $3,491.40 At the same time they traded in their 68 AMX and were allowed $1146.40 trade value. This car was lovingly cared for by the original owners until he passed away. The car was retitled in his wifes name. in 5/91. She in turn traded the car into Behlman Pontiac here in St.Louis some time in !994. Behlman in turn sold it to the second owner, MR. Bob Oneil of Twin Lakes, WI. In 5/94. We have numerous receipts and documentation Regarding Mr. Oneils ownership. He had the car completely stripped and professionally repainted in the mid 90's. The car originally had the facory side pipes, however M.r Oneil had a Borla Exhaust system installed on the car. We do not have the original side pipes. Sorry. Mr. Oneil did register the car with the classic AMX registry. He sold the car to a dealer sometime in 2000. And ended up in the auto collection in Las Vegas, Nevada where it was sold in one of their classic car auctions in 2002 and it went to Mr. Duane Leiken. We purchased the car from an individual from Missouri who had owned the car since 2006 when it came back to its original purchase state. That is the full story to the best of our knowledge.
