- Mostly Original!- Correct, Reupholstered Interior!- Rebuilt Original Inline 6!- Rebuilt Automatic Transmission!- Hollywood HardtopThe Hudson Motor Car Company made Hudson and other brand automobiles in Detroit, Michigan, from 1909 to 1954. In 1954, Hudson merged with Nash-Kelvinator Corporation to form American Motors. The Hudson name was continued through the 1957 model year, after which it was dropped. In 1951, Hudson's largest, greatest selling point was that Hudson's all over the country were winning all of the important races. Hudson's new "step-down" floorboard was one of the newest innovations in the automotive world. The lower center of gravity, when combined with the huge torque of the Inline 6 cylinder engine, made the Hudson a force to be reckoned with. The handling of the 1951 Hudson, because of the low center of gravity, was better than virtually any other automobile produced in America.MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this handsome 1951 Hudson Commodore Sedan. This nearly completely original car has been driven and loved its entire life, states the previous owner. They've also told us that it's an excellent driver - and we can verify that it is! It is ready to be driven and enjoyed the rest of its life - however long it may continue on!Finished two tone cream with a deep brown roof, the paint is in good condition and hugs the round lines of the Hudson. There are some minor chips and imperfections - that being said, most of the paint on the car is original with exception of the lower rockers and hood that were repainted in the past. The body panels are indeed original. The chrome front and rear bumpers are new and in excellent condition. Many of the trim pieces are original and do show some pitting. Overall, the Hudson shows well. Inside, you will see that the interior is correct; and has been freshened up recently. The two tone leather and brown striped cloth seats are in great shape, showing no signs of wear or imperfections. The carpet and matching two tone door panels are in great shape as well. The dash appears to be original, showing no signs of cracking and houses all of the original gauges plus a clock and AM radio.Under the hood, you'll find the original inline 6 cylinder engine that has been rebuilt. It should be mentioned that the wiring harness is correct! The Hudson runs great and looks just as good! Attached to the engine is a rebuilt automatic transmission. The car sits upon a set of 15" wheels wrapped in G78-15 white stripe tires that look excellent paired with the color combination of the car! This Hudson is a lovely piece of American history and would make an awesome driver as Hudson built one of the best handling cars back in the day. The VIN is 120133 and the mileage currently shows 75,748. It is being sold on a clean & clear Illinois title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
