Description

If you are looking for the ULTIMATE sport bike then MotoeXotica has the bike for you. We are offering a one owner, 1995 Bimota SB6 serial number 20, still on the original title. MotoeXotica was Missouri's sole dealership for many years until the unfortunate bankruptcy of Bimota, which recently killed the 26-year-old company making this bike a true collectors piece. This limited production sport bike has the base engine of a Suzuki GSX-R but with Bimota cams and exhaust, which make this bike into a ROCKET. Originally this bike cost $35,000 new! Did I mention that this bike only weighs 418 POUNDS DRY! TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS -- SB6R ENGINE Stroke: 4 Cylinders: 4 Geometry: in line Valves per cylinder: 4 Cooling: liquid Horsepower: 156 rear wheelBore x stroke: 75.5 x 60 mm Piston displacement: 1074 cc Compression ratio: 11.2 : 1 Fueling: 4 40 mm carburetors Lubrication: forced with heat exchanger air-water ELECTRIC SYSTEM Ignition: digital electronic Battery: 12V/12 Ah Starting: electric TRANSMISSION: Primary gearing down: tooth-gear Clutch: multiple disc in oil bath Gearbox: 5 speed Final drive: chain CHASSIS Frame: aluminum alloy Wheelbase: 1400 mm Steering angle: 24 Trail: 96 mm Front suspension: telehydraulic fork with 46 mm stanchions and rebound, compression and pre-load adjustments Rear suspension: shock absorber with compression, rebound, pre-load and length adjustments Wheel travel: 120 mm front - 130 mm rear Front brake: double 320 mm disc Rear brake: single 230 mm disc Rims: 3.50x17 front - 5.50x17 rear DIMENSIONS Max length: 2070 mm Seat height: 800 mm Dry weight: 190 Kg Fuel tank capacity: 22 lt. The GSX-R 11 based engine is a gem with useable power from around 2500-rpm and upwards. The gearbox also comes from the GSX-R 11, which has always been one of the best in the business and performs faultlessly. The SB6 is Bimota's most successful model ever, with over 1300 units sold worldwide. I suppose this would be the kind of bike for you if you crave something exotic - but love the screaming rush of a 4-cylinder more than the softer delivery of a twin. The SB6 utilizes one of the most common engines seen in motorcycling over the past ten years; this is reflected in the servicing coming out at around a third of the price than that of a 916. The Suzuki engine and gearbox have a record of indestructibility that is the envy of all manufacturers. Another thing it has over the Ducati, by a BIG margin.
