Description

MotoeXotica is offering another very rare, seldom seen convertible. This 1992 Puma Spyder AM-4 was one of the last Puma cars ever built. Production of the Puma all but stopped in '92 with only a few of these cars being produced. This particular car is on an actual mileage Indiana title which shows 3,673 miles in 2000. The car now shows only 3,903 ACTUAL miles! Due to the rarity of this car, some of you may be able to tell us more then what we know about it now. We will add this information later in the auction as we learn about it. The Puma AM-4 used a water cooled Volkswagen engine in the rear. Relatively few of these were built before production ended. It has been reported that a small number of these late water cooled Pumas were brought into the U.S. as complete cars. Styling changes from earlier models include revised tail lights and the addition of functional side air intakes to the rear engine. The body on this particular car is in great condition with no major imperfections to be found. We are not sure if the paint is original or not but we believe it to be. There are no major rock chips or scratches to the paint which has a very good shine overall. The convertible top is nearly perfect with no major imperfections. The plastic rear window shows no staining or damage. Both front and rear bumpers look very good with no major imperfections to either.
