Description

Motoexotica is offering a RARE Packard that some say is the most collectible of the 1957-58 range of cars known to enthusiasts as the "Packardbakers." This vehicle is a VERY rare 1958 SUPERCHARGED Packard Hawk. This is one of only 588 cars that were ever produced. Equipped with a 289-CI supercharged engine, producing 275 horsepower, a 3-speed Flight-O-Matic transmission and a 3:35 positracion rear end. This car will move you to 60 mph in 8 SECONDS FLAT and a top speed of 125 MPH! This particular car has had a total restoration done to it and has held up great. This is possibly the most bizarre and interesting 1958 Packard that was based on the Studebaker Golden Hawk, with special styling by Duncan McRae. Like the luxury Golden Hawk 400, the Packard Hawk featured a full leather interior. Its front-end design, however, stood apart. Completely unique and unforgettable, a wide mouth grille that looked as if Electrolux had inspired it. Other odd features included exterior vinyl armrests along the side windows, a spare tire outline on the rear deck, and gaudy gold Mylar inserts for the flared tailfins. The paint has a great shine to it and shows very nicely. There are some minor scratches to the front left fender and the right side door. But they are certainly not major. The underbody is solid with no visible rust. The front and rear bumpers are in outstanding shape and appear new with no pitting or scratches.
