We believe this is an original 4 speed car which makes it one of only 885 four speed 1971 Trans Ams ever made. This car is street legal. This car was done very well with little expense spared. This car was built for a lot more power then what it has right now. The paint is presentable and in good overall condition. It does show some cracking and blistering in a few spots. There are some minor bubbles behind the left rear wheel and also behind the left front wheel and below the rear spoiler. The body is all steel and not fiberglass. The front and rear bumpers are both in excellent condition with no major scratches or pitting. The front spoiler does show some cracking but most do. The monster 33 x 19.5 x 15 Mickey Thompson's in back have good tread life left on them and the front 215/75 15 radials are showing some dry rot. The rear end is a Ford nine inch with a Strange rear axle. We are not sure on the gear ratio. This car does have a fuel cell in the rear. The floors are solid as is the trunk and the frame rails have been reinforced. The rear suspension is a fully adjustable four link.
