The Toyota FJ45 / 47 was a long wheelbase four wheel drive vehicle, available in two door hard-top, four door station wagon or two door pickup models. Most commonly seen as the FJ40, short wheelbase, 2 door versions, these were Toyota's version of the Jeep CJ. This particular truck is an incredibly solid example of one of the long wheelbase, CJ45 pick up truck versions. The truck was restored several years ago and sat in a Toyota dealership showroom for some time. Finished in Sky blue, this extremely rare truck is extremely solid and straight with no bubbling or rot to be found anywhere on the body. The paint on the truck looks great and shows no major imperfections. This truck has not been used as an off road toy and it shows by how straight the body is. The front bumper looks great and has an electric winch installed. There is no remote for the winch. The wheels have been painted blue to match the rest of the truck and are wrapped with newer all terrain radials that have great tread life on them. Inside, the two seats are both in very good condition and have been recovered in newer vinyl. The majority of the interior has been painted to match the rest of the exterior of the truck. The floors inside have been lined with a spray on bed liner to prevent any rust in the future. The steering wheel is solid with the exception of a few small cracks as you can see in the pictures. A unique feature on these trucks is that the entire top of the cab can be taken off rather easily with two people. Great for top down summer fun!Under the hood, the 3.8 Liter inline 6 cylinder runs great. The motor runs very smooth with no smoking or hesitation. Connected to a three speed manual transmission, the truck goes down the road with no issues. The transfer case seems to be working with no problems, shifting the truck into four wheel drive high and low. The truck has no power steering or power brakes. Under the hood, the engine compartment is clean overall and appears very unmolested. There has been an updated electric fuel pump installed. This truck is incredibly solid and shows no undercoating underneath. This shows the solidness of the truck and originality. The current mileage shows 4,425 but we are not sure if this is original mileage. VIN number is FJ4522425.
