Description

A new, more modern look came in 1967 for the Chevrolet Pick Up. It was with this revision of the C/K truck that General Motors began to market trucks as general transportation rather than as work vehicles and nothing else. Along with the new engines came a new grille design for Chevrolet trucks and a more upright hood for both Chevrolet and GMC trucks. A utility variant known as the K5 Blazer was also introduced with a shorter wheelbase of 104 inches. The GMC version, known as the Jimmy, was introduced the same year. Some internal cab changes were also made, most notably the switch from a hand-operated parking brake to a foot pedal, and a more modern looking 2-spoke steering wheel with plastic horn button replaced the previous year's 3-spoke wheel with chrome horn button. Also new this year was upper and lower side moldings, which added another two-tone paint option. These were standard on CST trucks, and optional in any other trim level. This particular 1969 Chevrolet CST10 pickup comes out of the dry state of Oklahoma. This truck is 2 wheel drive, short bed, which has always been a favorite among enthusiasts and collectors of these desirable trucks. The black exterior shows some bumps and bruises but as you can see from the pictures this is a very solid, straight and presentable truck. The paint shows age by showing rock chips and thin spots here and there but could be driven and enjoyed now until the buyer decides to redo it. On the bed of the truck is a soft button down tonneau cover that features a perimeter frame eliminating the need to drill holes in the bed. The interior of the truck is black and in great condition. The bench seat has been reupholstered which makes the springs and foam feel as firm as a brand new truck would. The interior of this truck also features cold factory air conditioning and a very desirable factory tachometer! The stereo has been updated with a tape player and aftermarket speakers and is a noticeable difference over the stock stereo. The carpet and dash pad both look great and are newer with no major imperfections. The same goes for the deluxe door panels. The 400 small block runs great and is connected to a 700R4 transmission that shifts through the gears smooth as can be. Under the hood is very clean and fresh. This is a power steering and power brake truck that has been updated with headers, Edelbrock intake and 4bbl carb. Coming out of the headers is a true dual exhaust system that runs straight out of the back and sounds great. The truck drives great and has good rubber on all corners wrapping stock rally wheels. The underside is extremely solid with no rot that we have found. The bed shows no rot and is solid as well. Current mileage shows 10,388 The truck is being sold on a clean mileage exempt Florida title with VIN number CE149A807561.
