The Jeep Wagoneer created a whole new category of so-called sports-utility vehicles and its massive estate car design was the most car-like 4x4 that "defined the boxy, macho shape" copied by others. The Wagoneer was noteworthy for being in production for more than 28 years with only minor mechanical changes. This amounted to the longest continuous automotive production run, on the same platform, in US automotive history, excepting the Dodge Ram Van, in production for 32 years between 1971 and 2003, and the Ford C-Series truck, which had a 33-year run from 1957 to 1990. This 1969 Wagoneer is a great example of one of these "macho" trucks. This truck has spent most of its life in California which is where we bought it from. While not perfect, the truck is in very good overall condition. The paint on the truck is in good overall condition but does show some scratches and cracking in the paint. The front and rear bumpers are both in great condition with no major damage showing. The same goes for the emblems and trim pieces. Inside, the seats are in very good condition and have been reupholstered. They show no major wear or tears. The same goes for the carpet. The carpet does show some fading and stains and is older. In the rear, there has been an aftermarket sound system installed which includes an amplifier. Included with the purchase are boxes of A/C parts. It appears that everything is there for the A/C to work but we're not guaranteeing it since we have not tried to install it. There is a compressor, under dash control box, condenser, hoses, radiator, lines, etc. in the boxes. Also included are many other miscellaneous parts and pieces for the truck. Under the hood, the motor has been updated to a newer 350 GM crate motor that came with a 100,000 mile warranty. It's connected to a GM TH400 automatic transmission that shifts as it should. With power steering and power brakes the truck drives great. There have been brand new BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A's installed all around which are in great condition with no dry rotting. This is a great truck that has tons of life left in it. With 4 wheel drive, you can make this your winter truck, put it out on the farm or simply drive it everyday for a cool daily driver. The current mileage shows 67,214 which is said to be original for the truck but we have no documentation to back this up. The VIN number is 1414019304705 and is being sold on a clean California title.
