Description

MotoeXotica is proud to offer this beautiful 7 passenger 1918 Paige Six-55 Series 4 door Touring Essex. This car cost $1,775.00, new in 1918. This rare automobile was previously owned buy Illinios Congressman Ken Gray and once carried John F. Kennedy as a passenger. The exterior of this car is done in a dark royal blue and black. The paint is in good condition. It does show some age, nothing major or uncommon for a 90 year old automobile. The metal grill is in excellent condition. The wood rim wheels are in great shape and are wrapped with 34x4 6 ply tires with good tread life left. The black interior looks really good. The front and rear bench and center folding seats are black vinyl. The center seats fold down and forward to allow passengers to get to the rear seats. The simulated wood finish dash board is in great shape. The black convertible top still looks good with just a few small holes. The flooring is made of wood, and is in great shape. The ooge horn works well. The engine appears to be the original flathead inline 6 cylinder with 1 barrel carburetor. It has an electric fuel pump added. The engine runs strong and is attached to a 3 speed manual transmission with shifter on the floor. The manual choke has been replaced with a heat activated choke. The throttle is now on the floor. The steering wheel throttle is still there, but does operate. The manual choke pull is also still in the dash. The original color was Paige Royal Blue. The wheel base is 127 inches. The HP is 29.4 (NACC rating.)
