This Corvette was built right here in St. Louis and sold here new at Weber Chevrolet on May 31st 1977 (only 14 days after it was built). The Corvette has remained here since new with only two local owners. The last owner had the car since 1997 putting only 10,000 miles on the car since then. As with almost the entire run of 1954 through most of the 1981 models, this car was made in GMs St. Louis, Missouri assembly plant. This particular example was made on May 17, 1977. Finished in Classic White (code 10), this cars paint is in overall good condition, however there are some blemishes visible upon close inspection, most notable a scratch on the left front headlight. The cars windows are clear and crack-free and its lights are in overall good order. This Vette rolls on Cordovan Grand Prix Radial G/Ts, size 255/60R15 at all four corners, surrounding factory short-spoke spider alloy wheels. The tires and wheels are in overall good order. The cars bodywork is straight, including the optional T-top panels and dual sport sideview mirrors. The cars interior cargo area is in overall good order. Theres an exterior metal luggage rack (code V54) that provides additional cargo storage or a place to stow the T-tops. The bumpers are in overall good condition. The engine bay is very tidy and the battery is in good condition. Under the hood is the numbers matching 350 CID (code L48) V-8 engine with Rochester Quadrajet carburetor, backed by a Turbo Hydramatic 350 three-speed automatic transmission (code M40). Driver convenience features include power steering, power four-wheel disc brakes, power windows (code A31), air-conditioning (code C60), cruise control (code K30) and tilt-telescopic steering column (code N37). Inside, the standard white leather seats are in overall good order, as is the red carpet. The car has a white headliner and the contrasting red instrument panel, with its revised-for-1977 gauges, is in one piece. The leather-rimmed, red, three-spoke steering wheel looks great. The white-and-red inner door panels are in overall good condition, as is the mirror glass, the center console and shift lever. Currently the blower motor is inoperable and the AC clutch is not engaging but the AC system is complete. Rounding out the interior is a factory AM/FM stereo. The car comes with bag to carry the T-top panels and a space plastic center console surround.Included with originalwarrantycar,originalEPA sticker, original owners manual and other original new delivery documentation Competition to this Corvette in 1977 included the Avanti II, Datsuns 280Z, Jaguars XJ-S and Mercedes-Benz 450SLC.
