King Midget was a micro car produced between 1946 and 1970 by the Midget Motors Corporation - the only small car continuously assembled in that time period. Midget Motors' primary methods of advertising their cars were through small advertisements in popular magazines that appealed to home mechanics. The ads brought in a steady stream of interested customers. Some of the magazines featured articles about the car and several pictured the car on their front cover. This method of direct selling continued for most of the life of the company. In 1957, the Model 3 was introduced. The wheelbase increased in size, and the King Midget now had four-wheel hydraulic brakes. The unit-body, which was welded for increased strength, was continued throughout to the end of production. This 1959 King Midget is being sold as is and is currently inoperable. The engine is the original one-cylinder Wisconsin engine mated to a two-speed automatic transmission. The exterior is a vibrant red color, and the convertible top is a complimenting cream cloth. This car would make a great display piece for a business or parade car. This is a rare piece in micro car history available to you thanks to MotoeXotica Classic Cars. GET OUT AND DRIVE!
