MotoeXotica is offering this great little Series 2 Lotus Europa that is in excellent condition and has always been garaged. In 1991 the cars original Renault engine was professionally replaced with a brand new 1991 Volkswagen Golf GTI, 2.0 Liter dual OHC 16 valve motor. This allowed for allowed for Golf GTI fuel injection and air management, while retaining the original 4 speed Renault gear box. There were new universals and half shafts also installed.We sold this car to a customer of ours this winter that bought the car for his wife to drive. Unfortunately another family member went out and drove the car and failed to realize the early signs of engine problems. He proceeded to drive the car and the engine seized. We are now selling this car for him. PLEASE NOTE: The car does not currently run and will need a new motor.
