Since 1950 Jaguar had been building large, separate chassis saloon cars, starting with the Mk VII. In 1958 the final derivative arrived, the Jaguar Mk IX. The Mk IX utilized the famous XK engine which had evolved into a powerful (220bhp) 3.8 liter unit, enough to haul this large saloon car up to a top speed of 117mph. Underneath, the car shows no rot and is obviously a well taken care of car. The trunk is carpeted and includes a full size spare tire. No rot to be found in the trunk. This car has nice chrome rims with no damage that are wrapped in 3 inch white tires and blue trim to match the body. The car handles very well and is very smooth out on the road. Stopping is easy with the 4 wheel disc brakes all around.
