Description

The car was completed in November of 2001. It has been entered in three shows and took first place in two of them. It has less than 500 miles on it, and those were to shows and fine tune the build. 1 1/2 years time was spent in research, development, and technical design of the finished project. My sources of technical support and component selection were; Arizona Street Rods, The Rod Shop, So Cal, Billet Specialties, R&B. Dan Fink, Harwood Industries, Curry components, Lo-car, Walker, Moon, Alden, I-did-it, Mickey Thompson, Street & Performance, PPG Paints, TCI, Vintage Air, GM Performance, Glide Engineering, Parr Automotive, Mullins, Painless wiring, Dyna-mat, B&M, Spall Cooling systems, Hugh's Performance, Wilwood Brake Systems, Pioneer Classics, and J&W Classics.Upon completion, I had a professional firm conduct a Value Stated ReplacementAppraisal that valued it at $120,300. The quality of the build was compared to that of Roy Brizzio, and So-Cal. Extreme attention was paid to detail and functionality. The car was designed to show & "Drive". It cruises on the freeway 70 mph @ 1950 rpm with the 700r-4 transmission & 350 track-loc 9" rear end. It is air tight, no rattles, and drives straight and true. The cooling system runs at 190 degrees with the A/C on in Arizona 110 degree temp.BODY: The body is manufactured by Harwood Industries, who have a superior process in the laying of the glass, which includes a porcelain material between layers for strength to eliminate stress fractures and flexing. All body seams are very even and straight where the doors, deck lid, hood & radiator meet. The car was assembled three times to ensure proper fit of all the components. The paint is PPG base/coat clear / coat, two coats Prowler Flame Orange base with four coats of clear/coat color sanded and buffed to a mirror finish chip & scratch free. The underbody has been left in the original black gel/coat finish, which is very smooth and glossy, also chip resistant. Design features of the body are a 2'' pinch, 2 1/2" chop and a rolled rear pan. FRAME: Tubular heavy gauge steel twelve point construction with re-moveable trans mount support with a two inch pinch at the front and 1' notch to lower. It is rated up to 1200 hp. The rear of the channels are cut back to smoothly fit into the roll-pan & the passenger side channel also is plumbed with internal tubing for fuel & battery cable routing concealed inside. TIRES/WHEELS: Front: 2 BFG Comp T/A 185/60R15 tires on Billet Specialties 15x7 Legacy wheels with knock offs. Rear: 2 Mickey Thompson Sportsman 29x15.5 / 15LT tires on Billet Specialties 15x12 wheels with knock offs. PLEASE NOTE: MotoeXotica is selling this car for a customer of ours. The car is located in Phoenix Arizona.
