We have no documentation to prove that this IS OR IS NOT an original Signature Edition car due to AMC not specifically identifying these cars in the VIN, door tag or anywhere else. This car was a rare garage find that had been sitting for 15 years or so. The 1970 Mark Donohue Signature Edition Javelin was created out of a need to homologate the Javelin and its newly designed rear spoiler to compete in Trans-Am events for the 1970 season. The SCCA required that 2500 street cars would have to be sold for homologation purposes. This particular car seems to have been repainted in the original big bad orange color that is in good overall condition but not perfect. There is a minor abrasion on the front right and some minor dings nicks elsewhere. All stripes are in good condition and have also been repainted. The bumpers show some minor pitting and the front does have a small ding to it but still retain a good shine. We ran the door tag and found that this is an original big bad orange car. The only place we found rust in the car is on the rear right and left quarters behind the wheels. The mileage shows 50032 and is not believed to be exact. Car is being sold with mileage exempt.
