Description

MotoeXotica is offering another awesome and rare Jaguar sedan. This 1967 Jaguar 3.8 S-Type has only 93,000 actual miles and is finished in the popular color of British Racing Green. This car is loaded with options that include wire wheels, heated rear window, automatic transmission and AM/FM radio. To fill the market gap between the Mk II and the top of the range MK X, Jaguar conceived the S-type which has recently been revived today by Jaguar. It was based on the MK II, but the rear was given similar styling to the larger Mk X, and it was fitted with the independent rear suspension that had been developed for the E-Type and MK X. Dual fuel tanks were fitted inside each rear fender. The car is best described as a MK II with a MK X like rear, even though no panels are actually interchangeable. Slimmer MK X style bumpers were fitted front and rear, later also to be incorporated in the 240/340 revision of the MK II. Engine sizes of 3.4 and 3.8 liters were offered, the 2.4 would have been inappropriate (and way underpowered) in this more up level offering. The 3.8 was the only one imported to the US though. The body is very solid and seems to have been down south most of its life. No rot is present anywhere on the body. The car is finished in British racing green which is believed to be the original color. The paint is not perfect on the car and does show some imperfections but none are major. There is some minor cracking and spots of touchup. The rear bumper shows some pitting but the front bumper looks good overall with a good shine. The car is currently titled on an Arkansas title and before that it was in Oklahoma. The current mileage shows 93,924 and is believed to be actual. VIN number is P1B79378BW. The previous owner has had the car since 2001 in the state of Arkansas. GET OUT AND DRIVE!
