You are looking at an awesome piece of history. This 1943 Ford X50 Fire Truck pumper is on a Ford built chassis and engine with equipment installed by Maxim Motor Company of Middleboro Massachusetts. We have had this truck running and driving but the brakes are currently not working. This truck has been sitting in a museum since 1988 when it was donated to the National Transportation Museum. They have had the truck for the past 18 years. The body is very solid on the truck with no rot that we have found. All the body panels are solid with no damage. The paint is older on the truck but in overall good condition with no major imperfections. The truck has a ton of hose in the rear as well as a bunch of older accessories and attachments. The current mileage shows 25,723 and we are not sure if it is original or not. The VIN number is 1149 and the car is being sold on a mileage exempt Missouri title.
