On June 6, 1924 Maxwell-Chalmers became the Chrysler Corporation. The last of the Maxwell cars were sold off, then the name was quietly discontinued in favor of a new car called the Chrysler. This 1924 Maxwell Club Sedan is one of the last Maxwell's produced before they changed over to Chrysler. These are very rare, seldom seen cars that are not frequently seen for sale. This body of this car is all steel as well as the fenders and in very nice, original condition with no rot that we have seen. The paint is older on the car but is still in very good overall condition with no major imperfections to be found. The vinyl roof looks good with no dry rot or cracking. We have gone around the car with a magnet and found no major spots of filler. This is a VERY solid body. Both front and rear steel bumpers look good with no major damage to either.
