Description

MotoeXotica is offering another very rare motorcycle. This 1942 BSA motorcycle has been sitting in a museum for a number of years prior us purchasing it from the National Transportation Museum. Not much is know about the bike and was believed to be used by military personnel, like most of these bikes were. These bikes were mainly used for military action. We are not sure when the bike was in service or when it was donated to the museum unfortunately. It appears that the bike has been in storage for many years and we have not had the bike running yet. It appears that everything is there and the motor is free, but we have not successfully had the bike down the road yet. The kick starter arm is missing. It appears that this motorcycle has been restored many years ago and resprayed. The paint is older on it and it is showing its age. There is some paint chipping and scratches on both fenders as well as on the tank. Overall, this bike looks good and is very solid. It would be a great looking piece as is or a fantastic candidate for a complete disassembly and restoration as it appears to be very complete and unmolested. . The seat does show some wear and tear and is older, possibly original. The wheels look good and are wrapped with 3.25 - 19 tires that do show some minor cracking and age. There is no rot or rust that we have found on the bike. Everything appears to be complete and there on the motorcycle. The mileage currently shows 2,600 and we are not sure on how accurate it is. The VIN number is DR100612MO and the bike is being sold on a Missouri title.
