After the war, the Big Three's first all new car was the redesigned 1948 Cadillac. Because of the new design the production of these cars didn't debut until March of 1948 which only gave them nine months to sell these cars. With a production total of 52,706 cars, Cadillac ranked 15th in the industry that year. This particular Cadillac is a 1948 Series 62 that has undergone an older restoration or a very solid southern car. The paint on the car is older and is not perfect. It does have cracking and pits but overall a good shine. Though the paint is not perfect, the body is very straight and solid. No major spots of filler to be found and the door shut nice and tight with little effort. Both front and rear bumpers on the car are in great condition with only minor scratches and pitting showing. Both have a very good shine as does the front bumper. All the trim on the car looks good overall but does have some pitting and dings. The most notable defects can be found on the front left fender and to the rear doors where the door handle comes down onto it.
