This car has graced the cover and was named one of the top 10 street machines of 1991. It was also named one of the hottest new street machines of 1992 and was the cover car as well as center fold car of the October 1991 issue of Car Craft Magazine. This 1978 Ford Mustang is not your ordinary pro street Mustang. First, it's a 1978. Second there is no blown, nitrous fed, big block V8 under the hood. What is under the hood IS blown, but not the typical number of cylinders that you would see in a pro streeter. The motor is the original V6 that came in these cars in 78. That is where there originality ends however. This car was completely stripped down to nothing and transformed into what you see today. The car has been tubbed, lowered, smoothed and blown to make it the stunning car that it is now. All body panels are metal on the car. The hood, fenders, deck lid and doors are all steel. This is not a fiberglass fendered car. The only thing that is not metal is the hood scoop and spoiler. The car is finished in a Porsche red which is perfect except for one scratch on the passenger side door. After the gentleman built the car and played with it, he sold it to a Ford dealer who placed it on his showroom floor for many years. It was then purchased by a local client who used the car for shows. He then traded it to us for a comparable cruiser as he was ready for something different. The car starts and drives with ease. It gets more then its share of looks and admiration from both young and old. This Mustang is currently producing over 300 horsepower and would make the perfect beginners drag racer for the teenager or a show car for you.
