MotoeXotica is offering another fantastic microcar. This 1967 Goggomobil 250 Coupe is very solid with no visible rot and looks fantastic. The paint is newer as well as the interior which both look like they refinished. This car has only been driven 51,000 well pampered miles and it shows. These are VERY rare cars and a lot different then the classic and popular Mini. The Goggomobil was named for the young nephew of the company president, Hans Glas, who's nickname was "Goggi". So Goggi's Mobile (miniature car) became Goggomobil. The little car was hugely successful because it was a "real" car in miniature, not a freakish scooter mobile. Glas had a keen market sense and was, in hindsight, one of the few microcar manufacturers who would follow the "true path", by giving the public exactly what it wanted. The Goggomobil became the largest selling microcar in Germany. With an eye to the American market, this elegant and very stylish version was built on the standard Goggo floor pan and received all the same upgrades. This car has a rebuilt carburetor, all door sears replaced and new brakes. The paint on the car appears to have been resprayed in the past and looks fantastic. No major scratches or dings to be found anywhere. Both front and rear bumpers are in near perfect condition with no major scratches or pitting to be found. The front grill and all trim pieces look great with no damage to be found. The glass is all in great condition with no imperfections or cracking. The underside of the car is very solid with no rot that we have found. There has been a light undercoating to the underbody to prevent any further rust. No rot to be found on the body of the car or bubbling. The wheels are in very good condition and are wrapped with BF Goodrich 4.80 - 10 bias ply tires that have good tread life left on them.This is a fantastic little car that would be an absolute hit at the next car show. We're pretty sure you will be the only Goggomobil there and you will defiantly draw the biggest crowd of children around. The current mileage shows 51,678 and is believed to be actual.
