It was the design of Gordon Buhrig who was credited with saving the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Company years earlier. In 1950 Buhrig went to Ford Motor Company. The convertible styling with sedan comforts was an instant success and these models dominated all styling through the 1950's. The 1952 was so popular that the style wasn't radically changed until 1955. The paint on the car is in very good overall condition with a wonderful shine. There is a very small bit of bubbling on the lower rocker on the drivers side and some on the front lower quarter on the passenger side, nothing major, but it is there. The front and rear bumpers are both in great condition with only some minor scratches and dings to them. They both have a great shine and luster. The front grill does show some minor pitting as do the mirrors and trim pieces. This is a great driving 50s classic that is a joy to drive and show.
