You are looking at a piece of movie history. This 1951 Ford F2 Pick Up was the truck that was used in the 1995 movie "Bridges of Madison County" and was personally driven by Meryl Streep (Francess) throughout the movie. We have included screen shots of the movie where you can see the stars of the film, Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood, driving and with the truck. What a piece of movie history! We have documentation that shows that this WAS the truck used in the film. This includes an article written about the Meredith family and the truck and how it was found for the making of this film. Also included in the purchase is a signed first draft script, a DVD of the movie, as well as autographed photos and certificates of authenticity of Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood. Also include with purchase is a first addition hard back copy of "Bridges of Madison County" signed by the author, Robert James Waller, a hard back copy of "The Bridges of Madison County the Film", a photo by Ken Regan, a plaque from Warner Brothers, and a small print of the truck in front of the covered bridge. I had the opportunity to purchase this truck while in Madison County myself. I purchased the truck directly from Mr. and Mrs. Meredith who have owned the truck since 1992. The story goes that Mr. Meredith drove the pickup to a casting call and the producers signed the truck up for the movie as it fit the bill for Francess, played by Ms. Streep through out the movie. When filming was completed the truck was returned back to the rightful owners. The paint on the truck is in good overall condition but is older and may actually be original. The body appears to be all original with no body work ever being done to it. There is some rust showing to the rear wheel well as well as the passenger side front fender. Nothing major, but it is there. The bed does have some rot on it as well on the passenger side. Nothing major, but it is there. The wood bed appears to be all original and does show some very minor rot, but solid overall. The weather stripping is original and does show some aging. This is a well documented truck that is seen in countless scenes in the film. We have included some screen shots of the film that shows Meryl Streep driving the truck as well her standing in front of it with Clint Eastwood. The current mileage shows 46,496 which may be original but we have no documentation to prove this. The previous owner has owned the truck since 1992 in the state of Iowa, where this film was made.
