MotoeXotica is offering one of the most radical, insane, outrageous street machines ever to hit the streets of the US. You are looking at THE 1956 Morris Minor Woody Traveller STREET MACHINE. This monster started life as just a normal Morris Minor 1000 Traveller until it got into the hands of Mick Sinclair. Mick is a mechanic from Norwich, Norway who is the man behind this beast. The car started out life as a mid green Morris Minor 1000 Woody Traveller, which was mid green and had a 948cc, 34 hp, 50 ft lbs of torque 4 cylinder. What it is now is an estimated 850 horsepower, 9 second quarter mile, 160+ mph beast! Just a MINOR alteration! We have conflicting documentation that tells us that the motor itself is producing anywhere from 400 – 555 horsepower without the nitrous. With the nitrous it adds another 200 – 300 horsepower. The lower numbers came from a magazine article we have in hand that did an article on Mick Sinclair and this car. The higher numbers came from the owner that we purchased the car from. We have not had the car dynoed for exact figures. The motor is fresh with less then 10 miles on the clock. It was professionally built in Colorado and mechanics phone number can be supplied if needed. When this Morris came to the states in 2001 Hot Wheels saw it and made it Collector number 047 in 2001. We have one example of this Hot Wheel car still in the package. This car has been featured in numerous magazines and write-ups all around the world. It has also won numerous awards all around the world including “Best British Hot Rod” when the car debuted in 1997. The only thing to do now is GET OUT AND DRIVE!

The chassis is all tubular underneath and goes up to a full racing roll cage inside. There are dual 5 point racing seats with RCI belts. The original speedo remains in the car but is not connected. There are AutoMeter gauges under the pop off steering wheel for boost, oil pressure, fuel pressure and water temperature. The Mallory tachometer is currently not working. All panels inside are formed from aluminum and look great. All the glass, sliding rear windows, trim, bumpers, steel body panels and ash wood rear panels are all still original and in great condition. There is one spot on the right rear fender where the wood is cracked. This beast is capable of cruising down the strip at night with all lights, blinkers and brake lights in good working order.

Now to the important information. The engine is a 350 cubic inch LT1 with a 350 4 bolt main. It has a steel crank, pink rods, forged blower pistons, blocked deck, roller rockers, screw in studs, guide plates and Edelbrock heads (64cc – 202/160). The heads have been resurfaced as well as having an HP oil pump installed, turbo 400 reverse valve body, 3500 stall converter and trans brake. It is bored .30 over with fresh TRW forged pistons. The polished 471 Weiland blower sits on top of dual 600 Holleys, which have been balanced. All of this produces around 450 – 555 horsepower. We are not sure of the exact hp shot of the nitrous but we do know that it is between 200 and 300.

The rear end is a narrowed 9 inch Ford spinning a set of 4.10 gears and harnessed with a coil over 4 link set up with wheelie bars. The transmission is a built turbo 400 automatic. In the front you will find a coil over strut front suspension with a rack and pinion steering set up. Stopping this monster is easy with disc brakes all the way around. There are Weld Racing wheels all around with skinnys on front and 15 x 15’s on the rear wrapped with a set of sportsman’s tires.
