Henry Ford was always convinced that people should satisfy themselves with nothing more than a good, simple and economical car. At the price of great efforts, his inner circle finally succeed in eroding his stubbornness and, in May 1927, after having produced more than 15,000,000 Model Ts since 1908, Ford closes his plants for many months in order to retool his assembly lines for the production of his next legend: the Model A. The latter will ultimately be produced in 5,000,000 copies between 1928 and 1931. This new miracle is equally attributable to Henry and his son Edsel. Henry will dedicate himself to the mechanical aspects and Edsel will bring a whole new look to the «people’s car». Whereas the Model T was nicknamed “Tin Lizzie”, the Model A will be known as the “Baby Lincoln”.This particular 1929 Ford Model A is an all steel body, original car that has had no major restoration ever performed to it. The paint is older on the car but is still in good overall condition but does show it’s age. It has some scratches and dings to the body as well as some cracking in the lacquer paint. The vinyl roof looks good with no dry rot or cracking. Both front and rear steel bumpers look good with no major damage to either. There is a full size wire spare mounted on the back that looks good overall with just some minor pitting. All the glass is in good shape with no cracking or chips.

The interior has had a vinyl bench seat installed which looks very good with no major signs of wear. The steering wheel shows no major cracking or wear is very solid overall. There is some peeling to the dash and to the paint on the tops of the doors. This can easily be stripped and repainted. The headlights and horn are both in good working order.

The 4 cylinder runs great and starts up with little effort. The 3 speed transmission operates fine and the clutch feels solid. This car is still on the original 6 volt system. The wire wheels are in good condition with only some pitting showing. They are wrapped with 21 inch bias ply tires that have good tread life left on them. The underside of the car is very solid with no rot to be found.

This is a fantastic, pre war car that is sure to impress everyone at the next parade or car show. The current mileage shows 658 and the VIN number is A2388226. The car is being sold on a mileage exempt Missouri title.
