| | IT IS SAT AT 3PM WE ARE IN AKRON . 568 MILES CAR WAS GREAT WHAT AN ADVENTURE IN OUR NEW 55 PACKARD CARIBBEAN CONVERTIBLE. THANKS AGAIN- CARL AND GEORGIA - | | | | Scott:
Thanks so much for your professionalism. I have only driven the car (86 Porsche 944 Turbo) from its drop off point to home. It was beginning to rain and freeze so I really have not had a chance to see how the car works. The car does not do well on ice! I am replacing rod bearings and cam drive pulleys as well as some suspension parts. Thanks for your help. Joe had good things to say about his brief experience with you. And hopes to keep in touch when he moves to St.Louis. I will encourage others to check for your sales on e-bay and Motoexotica....- Peter - | | | | Hello Scott,
I just want to tell you that everything went fine with the car (64 Corvair Convertible w/ 26K)and the travel to Houston. We drove 2300 miles via Atlanta, Nashville, New Orleans to Houston, dropped the car at Satellite Logistics and took a rental car to drive to Dallas at the last day. Except for four minor problems, the car was really reliable. At first, the battery cable went loose and it didn´t start any more (we have been at the Mercedes plant when the problem occured) but the defect was easy to find. Then, a stone hit the windshield and now, I have a little ditch in the middle of it. I went to a glass repair to stop it from splitting (45 $), shit happens...
At last I´ve forgotten to untie the handbrake and I drove 60 miles until it started smoking. After a short while of cooling down, the brake was ok again. This car is really solid, especially if you consider the age, I´ve spoken to several guys who owned one and they really liked it! I guess it will arrive in about 4 weeks and then I have to prepare it for German roads.
Thanks again for your help (license plate, oil change...)and good luck for further sales.
Tom
(Tom and his brother flew to St. Louis from Bonn Germany to pick up their 64 Corvair and drive to to port in Houston to send home....Now that's a sense of adventure)- Tom - | | | | Scott,
We got back to St. Paul without any problems at all. The car (1985 Buick Riviera Convertible) is really drives and rides nice. We got almost 26 mpg so were very happy. We will get it serviced this week as I did find an old LOF mileage indicator on the windshield which indicated that an LOF is due. Thanks again for the car and your help. - Denny and Cheryl - | | | | Thanks for getting the car cover to me. I cannot believe the comments I am getting on this car (1995 Mercedes-Benz 600 SL). Even bikers are catching up to me to tell me how great the car is. If there is anything I can do for you, let me know. It has been a pleasure doing business with you.
Thanks Again- Dan - | | | | HI Scott
Got the racing suit in great shape. Took care of positive feedback with Ebay.
Thanks much- Tim - | | | | Hi Scott,
Just wanted to let you know I got the car (1995 Acura NSX) today, a few days early. Pretty dirty when arrived, but it looks great now.
Went and got the smog test which it past with flying colors, and got insurance on it, and on Monday I will go register it. The seat motor is fine, the windows are fine, I am having trouble with the cigarette lighter but have not tried the radar detector as of yet. Could it be a fuse? I could not figure out how to open the hood? I can unlatch it but not sure how to release the hood latch? I need to read the book. Thanks also for the KEY!
The engine is absolutely gorgeous, the seats and leather look brand new. The brakes seem a little funny but do not rattle or whatever the lady at Acura said. The T top is great!
I LOVE THIS CAR!!! Have not seen a NSX in four years, and I drove it to the beach today and there was a red one right next to me! I have to be careful about that front skid which was almost falling off, I fixed it but it sure is low to the ground. I did not really realize how low this car is, but it is awesome!
Thanks again for all your help and a smooth transaction. I would leave you positive feedback on Ebay if I actually bid on it there, but will be happy to, if you can tell me how I could?
Have a fun weekend, cause I will!- Craig - | | | | Scott,
We made it home all in one piece. The 66 CORVAIR is great! We took it out on the highway and it drives great. We are very satisfied.
Thanks again,- Neil - | |
