Sold Inventory 1964 Chevy Impala For 1964, the Impala was slightly restyled, reverting to a more rounded, softer look. Out back, the signature taillight assembly had an "upside-down U" shaped aluminum trim strip above the taillights, but the lights themselves were surrounded by a body-colored panel. The 409-cubic-inch (6.7 L) returned as the big-block option, but the 4X2 carburetor setup was no longer on the option list. SS models continued to feature the engine-turned aluminum trim and the rooflines were carried over from the 1963 models unchanged. This particular ’64 Impala SS is a wonderful driving example of a true SS. Recently repainted in Azura Aqua, the car looks great with its newer Limited Edition American Racing Wheels. The paint looks great overall with only some minor nicks and scratches. The most notable are two small nicks to the passenger side. Both front and rear bumpers are nearly perfect with no dings or pitting showing on either and are brand new. The same goes for all of the stainless trim and turned aluminum around the outside of the car. All of the glass is free of scratches or chips. Inside, the interior is almost completely new and finished in black. From the seats and carpet to the headliner and door panels, almost everything inside this car is new and in great condition. The seats show no major wear as well as the carpet which looks nearly perfect. The headliner is in great shape with no staining or tears. All the gauges appear to be in good working order as well as the lights, blinkers, wipers and horn. Under the hood, the car is powered by an extremely clean 327 Cu In V8 connected to a Powerglide transmission. Fed by an Edelbrock 4bbl and Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, the car has a ton of power and is a blast to drive. The motor is accented by Edelbrock valve covers, chrome air cleaner and breather. This is a power steering car but no power brakes. The sound of the motor is that classic muscle car sound coming out of the true dual exhaust and Hedman headers. The underside of the car is extremly solid with no rot that we have seen. The same goes for the trunk that includes the original style jack. The wheels are brand new Limited Edition American Racing wheels that look great. They are all wrapped with newer BF Goodrich radials that still look new. The current mileage shows 70,696 and the VIN number is 41447S263010 that shows that it is a true SS. The car is being sold on a clean Illinois title. Sold For: $Call for price |
