1957 Chevy Bel Air
For 1955, Chevrolet's full-size model received new styling that earned it the "Hot One" designation by enthusiasts. Unlike Ford and Plymouth, Chevrolet's styling was considered crisp and clean. Bel Airs came with features found on cars in the lower models ranges plus interior carpet, chrome headliner bands on hardtops, chrome spears on front fenders, chrome window moldings, and full wheel covers. Models were further distinguished by the Bel Air name script in gold lettering. The 1957 Bel Air is among the most recognizable American cars of all time; well-maintained examples, especially Sport Coupes and Convertibles are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts. They are roomy, fuel-efficient, with tastefully restrained, period use tail fins and chrome.

This particular car is finished in its original colors of Imperial Ivory over Inca Silver and is said to be a 64,000 original mile car! The gentleman we purchased the car from stated that it has been in his family for its entire life. The paint is in very good overall condition and has been resprayed once in its life, many years ago. It still retains a very good shine and luster with no major imperfections. Just some minor dings and nicks from age. The front and rear bumpers are both original for the car and do show some scratches and pitting. All the stainless around the car looks great with no major damage.

Inside, the interior is finished in its original colors of black and silver accenting. The carpet is new as well as the upholstery on the seats. Both of which are in great condition with no major wear showing. The headliner looks great with no tears or staining and is new. The dash looks good with no major scratches as does the steering wheel which only shows normal wear. No cracks though. All lights, blinkers, wipers and horn work with no problems.

Under the hood, the motor is said to be the original 235 Cu In six cylinder which runs great. We recently put a new carburetor on and it really improved the driving of the car. Turn the key and it starts right up with no problems. On the road, the car drives straight with no pull to either side under braking. This car recently made a trip from Kansas City to Branson Missouri with not a single issue and on ONE tank of gas!

The tires are radials all around and in good condition. The original style Chevrolet hub caps are equally as nice with no major curb rash or dents to any of them. The underside of the car is very solid with no rot that we have seen. The trunk is equally as solid and shows no holes. The current mileage shows 64,923 and the VIN number is C57K155648. The car is being sold on a clean Kansas title showing mileage of 63,985 in 2006.
