1972 Alfa Romeo Spider
Motoexotica is proud to offer this incredible 1972 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce European model convertible. This car was an instant classic the day it was introduced. This car is a fine example of a very near mint Alpha that was one of the most desired models ever built. This gorgeous car would be the perfect edition t any collection or just something fun to drive around in. The car has benefited from a professional frame up restoration and it shows. A small number of these cars ever saw there way into the United States as were not imported here in 1972. This is a pristine example and would make a wonderful driver or show car.1971 saw the Spider Veloce get a new, larger powerplant - a 1962 cc, 132 hp (98 kW) unit - and consequently the name was changed from 1750 Spider Veloce to 2000 Spider Veloce. The inline 4 cylinder engine is connected to a 5 Speed manual transmission. The car drives great with plenty of power to get around. The clutch and steering are nice and tight.
The exterior is in excellent shape. The car is finished in Ferrari red with chrome accents. The paint is in great condition and has only one or two minor road chips. There are a few bubbles on the front of the hood, but they are very minor and not very noticeable. This is an incredibly solid car and we have seen no signs of rust. The underside also looks to be freshly undercoated for continued years of rust free enjoyment. The new soft black top is in excellent condition and shows no signs of wear. The chrome is in excellent shape as well with no pitting only a few minor scratches which are bound to happen. The interior is extra clean! The seats are in excellent shape and show no significant signs of wear. The seats are a gorgeous black that goes great with the red paint and black top. Inside you will also find carpets that are new and in great shape as well, along with a aftermarket Kenwood CD player with a detachable face. The face is currently missing and we have contacted the prior owner to see if he has it. This car runs as good as it looks.
